A myth I remember from a long time ago: A woman waited unmoving for years on the seashore for the return of her fisherman husband. He never showed up and she, having waited so long, turned into stone, crumpled and fell into the sea in a million tiny pieces. These fragments changed into corals and beautify the sea.
