Greater & Lesser Birds

On every year-end school holiday, we would go to Penang to visit my grandparents. Going to the beach is a must everytime we were there. I remember digging for clams beneath the sand which were later cooked and eaten at dinner. It was a great comfort to me, at the time, for I thought if ever we ran out of money to buy food, we could get it from the beach, or catch snails and sparrows that came into our garden.
